FURTHER HOWLERS
TTOWLERS are always received with amused thanks. “The Third Book of Howlers, ' ’ by Cecil Hent, follows up Mr Hunt's “Howlers' 'and “Fresh Howlers.” He confesses that he will be happy to, hear of further howlers and to incorporate them in another edition. Thep revailing religion of England is hypocrisy. Henry VlH.'s popularity was shown bv his title as Offender of the Faith. A plagiarist is a writer of plays. A poet’s swan song is his last gasp. Sins of omission are those we have forgotten to do. O.M. means on the make. {Lots of politicians get these letters.
And the North will like this: The cotton indusetry is a trade which calls for little brains. It is, therefore, confined to Lancashire.
