BILLIARDS BEFORE KING
LINDRUM GIVES EXHIBITION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) LONDON, Fob. 10. A command to attend Buckingham Palace interrupted Lindrum’s match with Mc'Conachy at Wolverhampton this afternoon. Their Majesties, were interested spectators while Lindum played a run of cannons and gave an exhibition of top of the table play, losing hazards an’d trick shots. Their Majesties were particularly amused at the masse shot and asked many questions about different strokes. The King presented Lindrum with a pair of gold-enamelled cuff links. In to-dav’s play McConachy took lus total to 8211, his best break being 664. Lindrum reached 3568, including a break of 348. The audience gave an ovation to Lindrum on his resuming at. Wolverhampton. Replying to McConachy’s congratulations, he said he regarded his reception at Buckingham Palace as an honour for billiards as well as himself.
