Since the earthquake disaster in Ha.wke’s Bay un Tuesday, January 3. the Hawera Branch of the Red Cross Society lias been very actively engaged in effective, relief work. Vegetables anil fruits received from all pans of tlio town arid district have been distributed through the special food committee and a complete record has been kept of the, disposal of all gifts.
