Very elaborate preparations have been made by an j efficient committee under the general, direction of the honorary secretary, Mr) R. W. Ilaseltine, and the affair promises to be an unqualified success. The grand march will be held at 8.30 p.m. and for the dance there will be very special arrangements, music by Henderson’s Star Band and dancing under the I direction of five M. ’sC. A free bus will | come from Opunake and the ladies will put. on a wonderful supper. Everything promises a great evening. Another effort is being made by an Okaiawa committee on behalf of the earthquake relief fund when they will stage a grand concert in the hall on Tuesday next.
