ELTHAM
DISTRICT DRAINAGE BOARD. WORK UNDER No. 5 SCHEME. The Eltliam Drainage Board decided on Saturday to carry out certain works under Unemployment Scheme No. 5. The meeting of the board was attended by Messrs W. C. Clement (chairman), J. Cocker, H. Wood and Martin. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Wood, Martin and Cocker was appointed to control the operations. It is proposed to undertake the work of cleaning, deepening and constructing drains that would not be done except under the benefits of the scheme. The 11101111101' of each ward is to supervise the work in Ins own district.
