MOTOR VAN HITS POLE
YOUTHFUL DRTYEiR, KILLED
(Ry Telegraph—Presa Association.) WHANGAR.ET, Feb. 16. A motor van owned by Malisons, caterers Whangarei, when returning from tlm Northern Wniroa show crashed into a telegraph pole on the Maunu Hoad, three mile s s from Whangarei. at 4 o’clock .yesterday morning. The driver, Janies Hughes, aged 17, was imprisoned in the wreckage, which had to he sawn away in order to release hrtn. So extensively was lie injured that ho> died in hospital shortly after admission. Another youth, Harold Gregory Manson, the only other occupant of the van, was thrown clear and escaped unscathed .
