KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR
RAILWAY GANGER'S DEATH. (Bj —Press Association.) AVERTING TON, Feb. 16. Knocked down at AVaikanae by a car which did not stop, William Pudor died from his injuries last evening. Pudor, who was a railway ganger about to retire from the service, was crossing the road in front of the post office at AVaikanae at about 8.30 p.m., when he was struck by the car, which was travelling towards Wellington. He died a few minutes later. From the particulars the police have they exuect to be able to trace the motor car involved in the accident.
