MURDER OF NANA CHHIBA
£2500 INSURANCE POLICY. MONEY FOUND SECRETED. A life insurance policy for £2500 and a considerable sum of money have been discovered by the police during the course of aii Intensive search of the premises in High Street formerly occupied by Nana Chhiba., whose body was found in the rear of his fruiterer’s shop on February 1. It is understood that the money comprising notes, silver and cheques, v as secreted in two places in the living quarters, while the insurance policy was amongst the man’s general effects. Several motives have been advanced for the murder, hut so far none have been of assistance in elucidating the mysterv. Senior-Detective Quirke and Detective Meiklejohn are both still actively engaged on the case.
