“VOTES FOR WOMEN”
MOVEMENT IN FRANCE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 1.30 p.m. to-day. PARIS, Feb. 15. Despite reputed French chivalry the feminist movement continues to make slow progress, and the sight of a woman parading the boulevards, bearing a placard, “Votes for Women,” only amused the onlookers. She was a member of an organisation, including prominent figures in literature, on the stage and at the bar, mho are planning refusal to pay taxes so long as they remain votelesis.
