EASY WIN AT AUCKLAND. (By Xelegruph—Prewi Aesociutlon.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 15. The professional boxing contest held at C’arlaw Park on Saturday afternoon between Bobby Wav, featherweight champion of Victoria, and Archie Hughes, featherweight- champion oi New South Wales, was won by the first-named on points at the end of 15 rounds. Blay proved himself one of the cleverest boxers seen in Auckland, liis defence being particularly line. He carried the light to his opponent practically throughout and iva.s an easy winner on points. The bout was -staged by the Northern Boxing Association and the Commercial Travellers’ Association in aid of the earthquake relief funds, bu ; l there was a disappointing attendance •of the public, there being only about 300(1 present.
