MEETING OF LOCAL COMMITTEE S I’C/G ESTED FOR. EARTHQUAKE BELIEF. A meeting of (lie liawera Baud Contest committee was held yesterday afternoon, Mr. E. Dixon presiding. The secretary, Mr. \V. It was decided to reply: ‘‘Bequest unreasonable and absurd. Bauds under great expense attending contest. Most contests show profit, lie courageous.”
