Burmese rebels, who, as a result of military and police activity, split into small hands, are terrorising villages in the Tharrawaddy district, and villagers known to he friendly toward the Government are being murdered.
Crown forces encountered a party of 2(H) rebels, killing 11, the remainder lleeing. Messrs Findlay’s big timber camp near Tharrawaddy was burned by the rebels. Two British subjects who were in charge made a timely escape.
