Miss A. Fleming, assistant mistress at the Main School, who left during the holidays, was entertained by the members of the staff yesterday afternoon, when -she was the recipient of good wishes and a presentation in view of her approaching marriage. Mr S. Blake took his seat at the Hawera Rotary Club Slunpheon yesterday for the first time since his serious illness and subsequent visit to the north to recuperate. The Rotarians gave their fellow member a rousing reception and President Buist expressed the pleasure all felt at sceign Mr Blake restored to health and looking -so well. Rotarian Blake in a few words showed how much he appreciated the welcome accorded him.
