CHIEF SCOUT'S VISIT
WILL VISIT PALMERSTON NORTH Mi* F. W. Horner, District Commissioner for South Taranaki, has just received advice from Dominion Scout headquarters that owing to the location of a large number of earthquake refugees at Wellington and the consequent difficulty in arranging for billeting there of visiting Scouts from country districts, it has now been decided to. arrange for a concentration of Scouts from lower Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu, Wanganui and Taranaki to be held at Palmerston North on the morning of Friday, February 27. The Chief Scout will arrive at Palmerston North by the Auckland express on Friday morning and will go on to Wellington by the Taranaki express, and whether Scouts will stay overnight in Palmerston North will be notified later. It is expected that owing to the shorter distance to travel a much larger number of Scouts, will make the trip.
