The wool sale opened with a cata-loo-u-e of 1-5,000 hales - Ihe market shows a good tone and the opinion is that January levels will be restored. Growers are meeting the. inaiket. Bradford and Continental -demand is keen and good wools arc- bringing decidedly better prices, , ~ Lambs are strong in quality, but- t ie demand is limited. Merinos and ha.ltbreds are a halfpenny better than Janu arv rates and bellies and pieces are: dearer by a farthing to a halfpenny, speculative demand is apparent and the tone of the market has decidedly improved, but no sensational rise is looked tor.
