Mis Olive Wise, under sentence of imprisonment for life, gave birth to twins—a hoy and a girl—on Friday in the prison hospital. The Governor, who is a-surgeon, himself attended the mother. 'Pile babies are progressing well. The confinement was a close secret, only those in attendance on Mrs Wise being aware of the event, which is particularly interesting, as there has been considerable public agitation for Mrs Wise’s release before the birth of tlie children.
