SOUTHERN AREA INCLUDED The latest gazette announces by proclamation that the South Taranaki Power Board’s area has been extended to include all that portion of the Southern outer area which has been in (dispute. It will be remembered that (a counter-petition for the exclusion of the area was taken before a committee of Parliament; also that later it was contended on behalf of those opposing the inclusion of the area in the South Taranaki Board’s district that some of the •signatures to the board’s petition were out qf order. These troubles have now . been settled by the order-in-council proclaiming the area part of the board’s district.
