At the inquest on Evelyn Foster, the jury returned a verdict ot' murder against an unknown person. It is believed that the person poured petrol on Miss Foster and set lire to her.
•Eevlyji Foster, daughter of the proprietor of a garage. was found dying ou January 6 beside her blazing motor-car on a lonely moor near Ottcrburn, on tlie Scottish bordor. Reldrc she died she told her father that she had been assaulted by a man to whom she had given a lift. He threw her in the back of the car. set fire to it, and pushed it over the bank.
