NUN’S FALSE PRETENCES

Belgian ecclesiastics are greatly disturbed because a nun occupying a responsible position in a convent was secretly engaged in financial operations which resulted in a loss of £46,000. She obtained large sums by false pretences and spent wastefully. The' mm has been dismissed. The authorities are seeking to disentangle the affairs and are hoping to salvage something for the sufferers.
