Captain Hodgson, of R.M.S. lonic, spent last week-end with Mr and Mrs Benton.
Mr D. Deegan and son, of Masterton, are the guests of Mr and Mrs J. M. Deegan. Mrs G. A. Ad lam lias returned to New Plymouth after visiting Mr and Mrs West! during the holidays. Miss M. Hurray, of Bell Block, has been visiting Auroa. Misses T»J. Lyndon. M. West, R. Corbett and M. Tilley, of Stratford High Scliod, spent the Christinas vacation with their parents ; as also did Miss F. Duff', of New Plymouth High School, and Mr Leslie King, of Stratford High School.
Air Leon Turnbull, of Hawera, visited Auroa before leaving for Auckland Training College and University. Miss D. Corbett and Mr D. Evans leave shortly for Auckland Training College for teachers. Misses F. and N. Duff left on Monday to attend New Plymouth High School.
Fifty new books have been added to the local library.
