SUBSIDISED PROSPECTING
WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 3. With the object of helping the goldmining industry and assisting in the relief of unemployed the Mines Department is placing a proposition before the Unemployment Board by which the board' will subsidise money for prospecting on a £ for £ basis. It is felt that parties of men, led by an experienced prospector, could m this way be engaged on profitable work.
