WAVERLEY.
TOAVN BOARD. Or A. J. Adlam presided at, the .January meeting of the AVavorley Ton n Board, others present being Atessrs AV. AVicks, Jas. Dalton and J. E. Palmer (secretary). Leave of absence was granted to Messrs J. AV. Mills and J. J. Bourkc. After discussion, the question of the half-holiday for the year was brought up, Saturday being decided upon as the half-holiday for the shops and offices in the town of AVoverlev for the year .1931 under section .15, Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22. The. secretary reported upon the Board’s finances, laying the following figures on the table for discussion:- — General account, (er.) £333 18s 3d; interest account, (dr.) £I3S 11s Id; separate account, (er.) £22 Is. Tenders for dog-collars were dealt with. Air J. L. Beer being tlic successful tenderer. The registration tax for dogs for the coming year was fixed at 2s Od for sheep and cattle dogs, and 10s for all others.
DOAIAIN BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the AVaverley Domain Board was held last week. Air A. .T. Adlam presiding. Atessrs W. Wicks and J. Dalton were also present. The chairman reported that all was satisfactory at the Domain 1 , general repairs and upkeep being done. Accounts were read ,and a total of £6 14s 3d were passed for payment.
