RETROGRESSION IN POPULATION

That the world has reached the point of saturation and that henceforth there must lie a- retrogression of population, is the opinion of Professor Gini, ’president of the Italian Statistical Bureau Taking a world index of 1000 women, he says' that 911 are born in France, 831 iii Germany, 820 in Britain and 1010 in Denmark. Seventeen countries exceeding 1010 include Italy, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.
