RAILWAYMEN’S CHOICE
ELECTION TO TRIPLE OFFICE, (By Telegraph—Preau Association.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 9. Jacob Elliott, of the Otahuhu railway workshops, was elected by ballot to represent the North Island members of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants at their conference. In a* second ballot lie was returned as executive councillor for the North Island A.S.R.S. He has also been returned to represent the second division on the Railway Board of Appeal. Mr. Elliott is the first railwayman to hold three such positions .simultaneously.
