ROADING WORKS GRANTS
APPROVAL BY" CABINET

Several grants for unemployment relief reading works were approved by the Cabinet to-dav. The total amount voted was £6240. Of that amount £I4OO was authorised to he spent on the Kumrau Road, in the Taumnrunui County. Attention is also to be given to the Opotiki-Matawai Road in the Tauranga district, and £I7OO was authorised for this purpose. r ] no formation of the road from Hicks Rav to Capo Runaway is to be carried oiit and £IBOO. was authorised for the work. The road is in the Gisborne Public Works district. A vote of £1240 was granted for work on the highway from Haupuri Junction to the Haupuri Road in the Grey County.
