QUEENSLAND DISPUTfi. SELECTORS AND PLAYERS. (United Cress Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) BRISBANE, Jan. 8. Despite the announcement that the executive of the Queensland Cricket Association had deterred taking any action in the dispute between players and the State selectors until after the conclusion of the third test the omission of Goodwin, secretary to the committee that was formed to conduct the dispute with the State selectors for the vlb it I rooming myitch against the West Indies, savours, it is alleged, of victimisation. Judging on the season’s results Goodwin should have been one of the first players selected, as he secured a good batting average, is an excellent fieldsman and fair bowler. It is rumoured that the dropping of Goodwin is part of the plan of the selectors to discipline players who did not see eye to eye with them. It is suggested that one or two leading players will be omitted for the match. A later message says Goodwin has now been selected to play against West Indies owing to another player not being available. SATURDAY TEAMS.
