WASHOUTS CAUSE TROUBLE
FLOOD RAIN NEAR PERTH
(United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.,PERTH, Jan. 1. A wheat train was derailed “231 miles from Perth, near Moulynning. Sixteen trucks were smashed to atoms hut the train crew were unhurt. I Rains caused serious washouts on I the Trans-Continental railway, i An engine with its tender, a mail . van and two second-class coaches on the west-hound express were derailed G 3 miles eastward of Rawinna. No one was injured, but the rolling stock was considerably damaged. News regarding the floods and the j condition of the country is unobtain- ; able owing to a breakdown of the I railway telegraph service.
