SHOCK FOR TAXPAYERS
N.S.W. LEGISLATIVE PROPOSAL. (United I'reas Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) SYDNEY'; Dec. 18. Taxpayers of New South Wales received another shock to-day when the statement was published that the Lang Government is considering a direct levy of two shillings in the pound on all incomes over an amount to be determined, in addition to the shilling in the pound already passed by the Assemblv.
