AN OPEN LETTER
TO THE PUBLIC [Published 1 bv Arrangement.] I went to the Grand Theatre last evening to see “Byrd at the South Pole” and it is undoubtedly one of the finest pictures of its kind that 1 have ever seen. It is a real drama of an amazing achievement, and certainly a picture that no adult or child should miss seeing. 1 would like to say a lotabout Ihis picture, but I am afraid that 1 could not do justice to it, so will not encroach further on your valuable space, except to say that as a New Zealander 1 appreciate fully the generous and cordial tribute paid by Admiral Byrd to the people of this country. Byrd is not only a great explorer | he is a great gentleman. I take this opportunity of congratulating the management on presenting such a fine picture. Thanking you,— I am, etc., PATRON.
