PARTY CUT OFF BY FLOOD WATERS. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 12.15 p.m. to-day. SYDNEY, Dec. 18. Nearly a week’s rain has left a train ■of damage in the western and southern areas of the State. Wheat has been ruined or has suffered serious deterioration and harvesting has been • delayed. Much land is under water, the rivers and creeks having overflowed their banks. Two railway Tva.sha.ways occurred. A Mudgee message states that a party of IS, including 12 children, who were touring the country in search of work, were marooned oil a strip of land between Oudigegong River and Lawson’s Creek by flood waters. The police effected their rescue in the nick of time.
