' /'“punishment of deputies BARBAROUS PRISON TORTURE ALLEGATIONS BEFORE DIET. (United Press Association —By Klee trie Telegraph Copyright.) .Received 12.45 p.m. to-day. WARSAW, Dec. 17. A speaker in the Diet has presented a minute regarding the treatment of a number of the Opposition's deputies who are incarcerated in a military prison at Brest Litov.sk. They are said to have been beaten unconscious and forced to wash floors and corridors until exhausted. It is also said that they were imprisoned in darkest cells and received only bread and warm salt water and beaten through wet clothing so that the bruises would not show. A motor is said t.oi have been set in motion to drown their cries and one mental torture to which they were submitted was a faked execution.
