HAiWERA TRACK NOTES. (By “Limited.”) This morning the conditions were first-class lor training operations at the loc-al course and the plough track was in fast order. Chief Link and Silver Rule were first out and galloped lialf-a-mile in olsec, Chief Link finishing in front. Si Ivor mine, looking fresh after hisi victory at Feilding, was out doing light exercise. Awaken, who. developed lameness and was not started at Feilding" lias almost entirely recovered and should be able to fulfil her Auckland engagements. The mare was given trotting exercise. Orby’s Choice galloped five furlongs in 1.5. Miss Shelf finishing a head in Goblin Market- did slow work on the inside. Isa, rail from the half-mile post home in 52)sec. Miss Sheff and Bon Eve were companions in a gallop over fire furlongs in 1.5, Miss Sheg finishing a head in front. Six of J./ Fryer’s, team, Paitonu, Kissless, Green Linnet, Gowanlea and two- others, executed a useful working gallop of oyer a mile, the last seven furlongs being traversed in 1.44. None of the horses were ridden out. Double Red cantered a round and afterwards sprinted home three, furlongs in 38 l-ssec. Joy spear and Airbridge were allotted pace work. The Warden ran the last three fur-1 longs of his work in 39sec. Peg Black finished well in, front of Jciogne and Compulsory in a working effort over a round, the last seven furlongs in 1,43. Gasnapper went at half-pace, to the three furlongs and came home comfortably in 41sec. The outside of the course proper was available for two-year-olds to gallop on and Paparua and the Top Gallant youngster in O'. Cox’s care sprinted three furlongs in 39 l-ssec. Paparua finished a shade in front of his companion.. Both- youngsters shaped well. J- Fryer worked the two-year-olds Peter Jackson, Attentive and the Arau,sis and Hunting Song fillies together. The quartet went well sprinting home fast the last two furlongs of a round smartly. Air H. Spratt’s gelding, Afendfp, went wrong after his race at Feildiim and will have to be eased up. ” Trainer Fryer is experiencing had hick as, m addition to Mendip, Bright Glow and Orazone are unlikely to be available for the holiday fixtures.
