Justice Smith when sentencing Robert Desmond Colhoum. aged 24, for Unlawful carnal knowledge, “on the ot* ie j hand the law says young men are noh to have carnal knowledge of girls unuei 16 whether they consent or not; men who are intimate with them do so at their own risk.” , The sentence was three months hard labour.
