Camera gained a points decision over Paolino after a ten-round bout at Barcelona. It is officially announced that the attendance at the tight was 91,000, a European record. Though each delivered heavy blows in order to break his opponent’s defence, the contest soon degenerated into a hugging match until the referee interfered. Nevertheless the crowd applauded every round, admiring .Paoiino’s pluck against his nigger, younger and more sxilful adversary. In the first round Paolino, with three heavy blows, sent the Basque sprawling, but in the following rounds Camera easily outboxed his crudely lunging opponent. The Italian s footwork was masterly, and Paolino, who developed wrestling tactics in the latl ter part of the fight, appeared badly Jk, mauled, though the punishment that he absorbed indicated that he was ' made of iron. Camera weighed 270 pounds anc. Paolino 207. Those present represented 60 per cent, of Barcelona’s available population. Mounted guardsmen discouraged “gate-crashers.” Armed footguards prevented a stampede when the crowd attempted to rush the ring after the verdict had heen given for Camera. Portion of the barriers were broken down. The guards wielded drawn swords.
