The trial has concluded of William Schubert, aged 50. a labourer, on .a charge of murdering his daughter. May Doris Schubert, aged 14, near Newcastle, on December 10 last. Schubert, whose defence, was- that the girl poisoned herself owing to her condition, wasi convicted and 1 sentenced! tci death.
