DISAGREEMENT BY JURY
ALLEGED FAILURE TO ACCOUNT. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Nov. 26. In the Supreme Court three charges of theft against Roy Gladstone Ewart, a mercer, of Blenheim, occupied the , whole of the day. It was alleged that in March, April and July last he received certain sums ranging from £2 to £5 on terms requiring him to account for them to Nathan Tossman, furrier, of Christchurch, and failed to do so, thereby committing the crime of theft. After a retirement of four hours the jury disagreed and Mr Justice Reed ordered a new trial for the next sessions. • f
