QUEST FOR OIL
NORTH TARANAKI OPERATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct. 30. The best flow of oil from No. 1 bore, Moturoa Oldfields, Ltd., to date was obtained this morning, when 200 gallons were secured after the well had been left [.standing overnight. The well will now be left standing for 24 hours to gauge the natural flow of the oil.
The erection of a steel derrick for New Plymouth Oil Wells, Ltd., will be completed to-morrow after occupying only four and a-lialf days, which is a record.
