CLUB EVENING MEETINGS. ~ adjourned committee meeting of the Hawera Amateur Athletic Club was i esuined on Thursday Air. A. Grantpresiding. Air.' O. Cummings was appointed the club’s liand'iciapper for the season. The secretary (Mr. R. Lindrum) was appointed in conjunction with the president- (Mr. L. I. Alarter) as co-delegate of the club to the Wanganui-Taranaki Centro meetings.

Air. A. Grant was appointed the club’s delegate on the combined- meetings programme- committee. The secretary was instructed to procure 50 club badges!. These may 1 e procured from him at the cast of 2s (id. The following were appointed the club’s officials' for the evening meetings: Starter, Air. L. I. Alarter; track judges, Messrs. T. A. Kinmont, *O. ,Cummings and Rev. J. R. Young;; field iedges, Messrs. P. Link-horn and S'. Muslin; mega'pihionist, Air. A. Ei. Stevens ; marksmen and track stewards Messrs. J. Dredge senr., and J. Dredge Jnr.; result steward, Air. F. F. Cfaing; timekeepers, Afessrs. Hostick, Sargent, Fbden and Gerrand.

The following programme was approved for the opening evening meeting of the season next- Thursday: 100 vards. 880 yards, iavelin throw, shot out. half mile cycle, one mile cycle, half mile hoys (uniter 16), 'primary schools’ 100 yards, ladies’ 50 yards, hurdles- 120 yards (low), half mile walk, secondary schools’ 1(H) vardrs. .primary bools’ relay 400 yards. Entries close on Monday next.

It is 'proposed that, in connection with the combined meetings scheme, an levelling meeting will be held at Eltham ■~n t-hei following Thursday (November and at Stratford on Wednesday November 12. Platings secured at anyof the meetings, bv members of any particular club will count for that Hub’s troubles.
