FIRES IN HOTEL
CORONER’S VERDICT. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) , SYDNEY, Oct, 23. The coroner, after inquiring into the death of Miss Fernandez and the fires at the Lapstone Hotel on October 14, brought in a verdict that the fires were deliberately caused by Miss Fernandez while mentally deranged and that she afterwards committed suicide. Fires broke out in -several rooms ol the hotel, and Miss Fernandez, the manageress, shot- herself when interrogated.
