. SYDNEY, Sept, 17. An elaborate mail-sorting plant which occupied many months to instal in the Svdnev General Rost Office and costing £120,000 is now in operation. An experiment carried out with 50,000 dummy letters revealed 100 per cent efficiency. The whole of the machine is automatic and is purely an Australian invention. There are 100 electric motors employed in the mechanism.
