.Additions to two houses, one new house just completed, a now cowshed, etc., a new calf shod on another farm, ami another new house anouf to. be built, indicates that PiTiami is a progressive district. The local school re-opened on Tuesday after the- spring holidays, and tlie pupils 1 are now looking forward to tlie fancy dress, dance; to be held next Friday.
iMr <T. D. Conaglen, who was operated upon for appendicitis, is making very satisfactory progress towards recovery. Miss It. A. Bateson, of Mastorton, is at present the guest of Mrs .folly.
