Win g- Com m and'er Kingsford Smith visited Manchester to inspect the machine he is taking to Australia. _ It is said that he may use the machine to attempt to break Hinkler’s record, but this will .depend on his health. His doetor at present will not hear of an attempt to fly to Australia.
