Lacey, with four goals, and Roark, with three, were the stars of the challengers’ attack, getting away repeatedly for brilliant scoring runs. One of Roark’s l best mounts broke down in the fourth chukka, fracturing a leg and: was destroyed. Trailing 6—7 after five chukkers. the Americans put on a blazing rally in the sixth routing the British team. Eric Peddlev ran wild, scoring eight goals. He tallied six in the last* three eih-u-k----kers. Hoping contributed two in the sixth.
