HAWERA DENTAL CLINIC
CABINET APPROVES GRANT
£260 GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY
Telegraphed advice that Cabinet has approved of a. grant of £260 for the Hawera dental clinic has been received Mom Mr. H. G. Dickie, M.P. The cost of the clinic will be approximately £4OO and the school commit’ tees concerned! had to provide £l3O, which has been -subsidised by £2 for £l. The present temporary building at the main school will be replaced by a modem clinic, and l it is expected that the Education Board will have its erection well in hand before Christmas. The -sum of £lO5 for funds for the j clinic has been raised in Hawera, and with -several amounts yet to come in from outside committees it is hoped to have £IOO over to enable tbe | controlling committee to have -some funds in hand for its upkeep. Under the present arrangement there will be two nurses of the clijjic to give treatment to pupils from the following self)ols : Hawera, Convent, Nnrmanbv, Turuturu, Tawhiti. Mokoia,' 1 Ohnngni.
