Fallowing fierce hand-to-hand fighting near the village of Kharlachi, on the north-west frontier, between Indian military and .hostile border tribes, the latter, reinforced, raided picket posts at night in force but were driven oil by bombs, with heavy casualties. Snipers wounded three of the military.
