DANGER FROM RECKLESS DRIVERS. JUDGE’S STERN COMMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, Aug. 28. “I-t is driivng like this that puts in jeopard the lives of innocent people,” remarked Mr Justice Smith in the Supreme Court at Hamilton to-day in passing sentence of three months’ imprisonment on Hector John Show, 21 years of age, who was found guilty of negligent driving a car and causing] the death of his cousin at Newstead. His Honour pointed out that prisoner drove the car in a manner which could only >be described as reckless. Those who were’ found guilty of negligent driving must leam that they indulged in criminal folly at the risk of their own liberty. Prisoner’s driving license was suspended and cancelled for a further two yeans on the expiration of the present term.
