HUSBAND FOUND SHOT
WIFE’S TRAGIC DISOOVERIY. (By Telegraoh—Press Association.) 'DUNEDIN, Aug. 27. Duncan McDonald, married, aged 53, a resident of Palmerston, shot himself, this afternoon. He had been in illhealth for some time and latterly in a depressed state of mind. About four o’clock bis wife left the house, but, hearing a shot, returned,' and after a search discovered her husband lying under a, tree on the lawn. There was a shotgun beside him and the back of his head was blown away, the gun apparently having been discharged by a string fastened from the trigger to his foot.
