Tlic increased rates realised for fat cattle last week were fully maintained at. the weekly stock sales at the Prankton yards to-day. There was. a smaller yarding than usual. Fat sheep came forward in average numbers and sold at late, rates. Stores and baconers were in plentiful ’supply, satisfactory values ruling. Choice bullocks sold at equal to 39s per 1001 b; medium weight bullocks, £l4. 12s Gd, light fat bullocks, £l3; fat young cow s and heifers, up to £l2. ss; ordinary fat cows, £S 10s to £9 los; light Jersey cows, £5 Ids to £7 15s; runners, £6 Is to £G 15s; young store cows, £6 (17s and £6 los; yearling Jersey heifers, £5 os; crossbred yearling heifers, £3 los; boner cows, £3 10s to £4 2s Gd; fat wethers, 295; fat ewes, 24s Gd; baconers, £3 to £3 7s. At. the AA’estfiekl fat stock sale today beef was penned in less than average numbers and in consequence values improved decidedly on last week’s sale, heifer and cow beef especially being dearer. Extra choice ox sold l to £2 2s per 1001 - choice and prime, £1 18s to £2 Is; ordinary and plain:, £1 14s to £1 17s; prime young cow and heifer beef. £1 18s to £2; ordinary cow beef, £1 12s to £1 16s. Heavy prime steers realised £ls to £l6: lighter primei, £l3 15s to £l4 17s 6d ; light prime, £ll 10s to £l3 10s; unfinished and small, £9 to £ll 5s- extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £l2 to £l3 10s ; | heavy -prime . £lO lOs to £ll 15s; lighter, £9 t-o £lO ss; ‘light cows, £7 10a to £8 17s 6d; other corns, £4 10s to- £7 ss. The first spring lambs of the season were submitted and sold at from £] 2s to £1 6s. Small numbers of pigs wore penned. There was a good demand! and values improved on last week’s quotations. Choppers sold at from £2 10s to £4 15s- heavy and medium baconers, £3 5s to £3 15s; light ba eon or s -and heavy, porkers £9 16s to £3 3s ; medium porkers and light porkers. £2 8s to- £2 14s; 'Aiua?l and unfinished porkers, £2 to £2 6s.
