RUGBY UNION HABIT
WORKING IN COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) THAMES, Aug. 26. A most emphatic protest was registered last night at a meeting of the Thames Rugby Union against, the habit of the management committee going into committee to deal with matters affecting players. A delegate, Mr A. Delamore, stated that matters discussed in committee were common property on tlie following morning. Ho objected to this, and informed the union that it liad lost the confidence of the players and the public. In a heated reply the chairman, Mr If. Murray, declared that lie was sick of th<‘ whole thing. Players were never so well treated as this year. A lengthy discussion took place in committee, the delegate again registering a protest.
