DIRECTOR OF HEALTH
DR. VALENTINE RETIRING. TO CONTINUE AS ADVISOR. (By Telegraph—Tress Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. The Director General of Health, Dr T. H. A. Valentine will retire from the service of the department at the end of the present month. He has been granted six months’ leave of absence on full pay. The Minister of Health stated lush night that Dr Valentine’s services would be retained in an advisory capacity. As yet no successor lias been appointed.
